Proxy Bid:

A Proxy bid is the maximum dollar amount you are willing to bid for a specific lot. The system automatically bids up to that amount on your behalf against competing bidders (if any).

EXAMPLE: You enter a "Max Proxy Bid" amount of $500 when the lot's reserve is met and the high bid is $100.  Your Proxy Bid automatically raises your bid to the next minimum bid amount, which in this example is $125, and thus makes you the current high bidder.  When a competing bidder bids $150, the system again automatically places a next increment bid of $175 for you, making you the high bidder again.  If a competing bidder bids again, proxy bidding continues until your "Max Proxy Bid" of $500 is exceeded by a bid from a competing bidder. If your high bid is not exceeded by the end of the Auction, then you win the lot.

ADVANTAGES: Should your schedule prevent you from participating near the closing of an Auction, your "Proxy Bid" quickly bids on your behalf.  Also, when your and a competing bidder's proxy bids are of equal amount ($500 in the example) at the end of the Auction, your bid wins, because you entered your $500 "Proxy Bid" amount first.

Description:
This is a Very Special Extra Wide HEESEMANN KSA 8 CSD "Lacquer / Sealer" Sander with a Belt width of 80 inches !!

Equipped with HEESEMANN's patented "CSD" selective pressure adjustment system, sensors placed every 5/8" (16 mm) sense part configuration; pressure for each segment can be pre-programmed to provide less pressure on the outer edges or more in the center if desired. The "CSD" computer control will hold a maximum of (20) programs.

Equipped with:

  • Segmented Polishing Platen, segments are computer controlled to conform to irregular shaped panels sanding pressure on panel edges is adjustable.
  • Platen will accept panel thickness variation up to 5/64" (2 mm).
  • 26 & 31 kW (35 & 42 HP) dual speed motor, 10 + 20 m/Sec. (33 + 66 FPM) abrasive belt speed, abrasive belt size 2,050 mm x 3,250 mm (80.7" X 128"), pneumatic air tension and tracking control.
  • 250 mm Dia. Rotary Panel Cleaning Brush, 5 HP motor, and 150 mm Outfeed Rotary Panel Cleaning Brush, 2 HP motor.

    Additional features:
  • Vacuum bed assembly to ensure flatness of parts and feeding of small parts.
  • Computer control and monitor, light indication of panel movement; electronic abrasive belt tracking.

    Feed System:
  • Variable feed speed 5 - 15 m/Min. (16 - 49 FPM), 4 kW (5 HP) feed motor, motorized thickness opening.

    NOTE:  This sander had a Brand New $17,000 display/control installed shortly before it was taken out of service in 2016. The machine has been in storage since that time.
